A calling card is a prepaid card that has a sealed identification number (PIN) that can be used to redeem telephone call minutes. Customers buy minutes in advance with a calling card and conveniently avoid high telephone charges of the cash card mobile market, hotels and phone boots. Prepaid calling cards are mostly used for long distance calls from fixed-lines and rarely from cellular phones and function in most European countries.
